Hyderabad:A four-year-old boy died after accidentally falling into an uncovered water sump at Marthanda Nagar in Hafeezpet in Miyapur, on Saturday. Miyapur police said the child was playing alone outside his house while his parents – daily-wage workers – were inside. Police said the boy went near an under-construction building adjacent to their rented home and slipped into the water-filled sump that had been left uncovered.
His parents began searching for him when they realised he was missing. He was later found inside the sump, not responding, and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Miyapur police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
Pharma Trolley Catches Fire Near Nagole Police Station, No Casualties
Hyderabad:An auto trolley carrying pharma products caught fire and was charred reportedly due to a technical defect near Nagole traffic police station, at around 12.30 pm on Saturday. No casualties were reported. Nagole SI Dasharath said the trolley, belonging to a pharma company, was heading towards LB Nagar from Nagole.
Police said driver G. Suresh smelt wire burning and called a repair shop nearby. They asked him to reach near the shop. While he was on the way, sparks erupted. Suresh parked the vehicle at the roadside and escaped.
Locals informed the fire department and the police, who rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
Newborn Baby Girl Found Abandoned Near Ramanthapur, Uppal
Hyderabad:A newborn baby girl was found abandoned near Ramanthapur in Uppal, at 4am on Saturday.
According to the Uppal police, a resident found the baby wrapped in a cloth and placed in a carry bag, near the pedestrian zone.
The baby was shifted to the Niloufer Hospital for medical care and her condition is reported to be stable. Police suspected that she was abandoned soon after birth. A case was registered and further investigation is underway.
