Chennai: he headmistress of Panchayat Union Middle School for Girls at Krishnarayapuram in Karur district S Malliga was suspended for negligence of duties and not following the circular issued on Thursday by the State Minister for School Education, Rajmohan, on telecasting proceedings of only official government events in the school premises.

The school in Krishnarayapuram had shown the event attended by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay at Karur to distribute appointment orders to 41 relatives of those killed in the stampede at a TVK election rally in Karur on September 27, 2025.

Since the Chief Minister had already made it clear that there was no scope for any political activities in school, stringent action would be taken against those violating the order, Rajmohan warned and urged Chief Education Officers, District Education Officers and Head Masters to be vigilant on it.
