NEW DELHI: A Jaguar fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan‘s Churu district on Wednesday, according to defence sources.The jet crashed in Ratangarh town of the district following which police teams were sent to the spot to assess the situation and carry out search and rescue operations, news agency ANI reported.Second crash in 3 monthsThis is the second crash involving a Jaguar aircraft this year. In April, another IAF Jaguar went down during a routine training mission near the Jamnagar Air Force Station in Gujarat. That aircraft crashed into an open field near Suvarda village, roughly 12 kilometres from Jamnagar city. At the time, officials said that one of the two pilots managed to eject safely, while the other was found dead by local villagers.
