Vijayawada: YSRC president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced the launch of a party app to document government injustices and enable citizens to report harassment by individuals or officials.
“We will hold the guilty accountable and ensure justice,” the former chief minister promised the people on Tuesday.
Jagan Reddy lambasted the TD-led alliance government for its “vindictive attitude” to political adversaries and its “neglect” of all sections of society by failing to implement poll promises. He called upon the party cadre to expose the failures of the government and strengthen the party from the grassroots.
Addressing the party’s political affairs committee meeting here, Jagan Reddy said the Naidu-led government was steeped in corruption.
“To divert attention from this and cover up its failures in implementing welfare schemes, the state government has been fabricating false cases against YSRC leaders and top officials. The dispensation is showing a vendetta to spread fear. Naidu’s actions will have consequences like the adage, ‘As you sow, so, you reap,’” he said.
Jagan Reddy outlined the “Babu Surety, Mosam Guarantee” campaign, exposing Naidu’s unfulfilled promises that reached the mandal level and said it should be taken to the village level.
He called upon the PAC members to form village and booth committees to ensure every worker was integrated into the party’s structure.
“Our party will thrive for years, and every worker will be recognised with identity cards and significant roles. We have lost a good government, but the people’s support is with us. Together, we will restore justice, rebuild our state, and bring YSRC back to power,” he said.
Affirming that his government had a better fiscal record, Jagan Reddy said the total loans his government took were `3.32 lakh crore during 2019–24, while Naidu has spent 52 per cent of that amount in just 14 months.
The former chief minister said, “While the national revenue grew by 12 per cent, the state’s revenue stagnated below 3 per cent, with public funds going into private pockets. Naidu’s Singapore trip is only to deposit the looted funds there.”
