PUNE: JSW MG Motor on Friday introduced the MG Cyberster, the fastest car of the company yet at Rs 74.99 lakh at pan India showroom.
However, those who pre-reserved the electric roadster can get it for Rs 2.50 lakh lower at Rs 72.49 lakh. The price tag is inclusive of 3.3 kW portable charger, 7.4 kW wall box charger and standard installation. The Cyberster is an all-electric convertible sportscar with no direct rivals in the Indian market yet.
The Cyberster is sold with a 3-year/unlimited kilometre vehicle warranty. MG are also offering a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner of the Cyberster. The automaker said deliveries of the Cyberster will start on August 10 and fresh bookings are now open at MG Select showrooms across 13 cities and on MG’s official website.
MG Cyberster comes with a stunning design with a low bonnet, sleek LED headlamps with LED DRLs and a split air intake up front. The rear end features arrow-shaped tail lamps with a connecting light bar above it. “It is a car that is engineered for performance and designed to be remembered. For many, roadsters were once daydreams. The Cyberster brings that dream to life, with the freedom of the open road and the conscience of an electric future,” said Anurag Mehrotra, MD at JSW MG Motor India.
MG have also equipped the Cyberster EV with electric scissor doors that can open and close in 5 seconds with just the touch of a button.
The scissor doors are equipped with built-in radar sensors that can detect obstacles or obstructions in the vicinity of the doors as they open and close. This is crucial to prevent accidental damage to the car or surrounding objects.The Cyberster comes equipped with a 77kWh battery pack wired to dual motors – one for each axle – routing 510hp and 725Nm through all four wheels. MG claims that the Cyberster can sprint from 0 to 100kph in just 3.2 seconds, and it has an MIDC-certified range of 580km per single charge.
