KARIMNAGAR: Justice K. Laxman, a High Court Judge and Administrative Judge for Peddapalli district, said on Sunday that “everyone must work together to maintain public trust in the judicial system” as he inaugurated the new Junior Civil Judge Court in Odela Mandal, Peddapalli district.
He was accompanied at the opening ceremony by High Court Judges N.V. Shravan Kumar, E.V. Venu Gopal and J. Srinivas Rao, and was welcomed by District Principal Judge K. Sunitha, district collector Koya Sriharsha, Ramagundam Police Commissioner Amber Kishore Jha and Sultanabad Bar Association president M. Tirupati Reddy. Vedic scholars honoured the guests with a Poorna Kumbham ceremony and traditional chants, and Justice Laxman received a police guard of honour before officially opening the court and joining in interfaith prayers.
Speaking at the event, Justice Laxman described the establishment of the Junior Civil Judge Court in Odela Mandal as a historic milestone that will improve access to justice for rural residents by bringing judicial services closer to their homes. “The rule of law must apply equally to everyone,” he emphasised, noting that citizens from all communities, especially those who are disadvantaged, deserve fair and respectful treatment in court. He urged lawyers and judges to conduct themselves with professionalism and courtesy to uphold public confidence in the judiciary.
Highlighting the backlog of cases across Peddapalli district, Justice Laxman noted that efforts are underway to enhance infrastructure and establish new courts to address pending matters more efficiently. He called on both legal professionals and the public to cooperate in resolving outstanding cases.
Justice Laxman also expressed his gratitude to district collector Koya Sriharsha and the entire administration for their support in constructing the new court building. After the ceremony, local representatives and members of the District Bar Association honoured the High Court Judges. Present at the inauguration were DCP Karunakar, RDO Gangaiah, tahsildar Deeraj Kumar, district court judges, bar association members, legal officers, lawyers and police officials.
