Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Monday said the results of the recent Assembly elections across multiple states and one union territory reflect a clear and decisive message from voters, emphasising their desire for change and accountability in governance.

In a statement reacting to the outcomes in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry, he said that the electorate has once again demonstrated political awareness by rewarding governments that performed and rejecting those that failed to meet expectations.

He noted that voters in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and West Bengal have “strongly expressed their desire for change” through their verdict. At the same time, he pointed out that in Assam and Puducherry, the continued support for the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies reflects sustained public confidence in their governance.

Describing the outcome in West Bengal as significant, Pawan Kalyan said the BJP’s performance stands as a testament to the party’s determined efforts and sustained outreach. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their continued focus on the state over the past few years, adding that their efforts have now translated into electoral gains.

He further said that people in West Bengal appear to have placed their trust in the idea of a “double engine government”, expressing confidence that such a model would bring stability and development to the state. He also congratulated BJP leaders including Suvendu Adhikari, for their role in the party’s performance.

Extending his wishes to leaders in other states, Pawan Kalyan congratulated Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for leading the state towards development and securing another victory. He also conveyed his congratulations to N. Rangasamy for the NDA’s success in Puducherry.

Commenting on Tamil Nadu, he said voters have shown clear support for change, noting the strong performance of actor-turned-politician Vijay and his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. He praised Vijay for achieving notable success within a short period of launching his party.

On Kerala, Pawan Kalyan said the mandate reflects a similar desire for change, and congratulated the Indian National Congress-led United Democratic Front for its victory.

He concluded by congratulating all winning candidates across states, stating that the election results underline the evolving expectations of voters and the importance of responsive governance in a democracy.
