Bindaas girls are the winners
Parents who keep preaching, “Don’t dress like that,” “Don’t talk to boys,” “No relationships before marriage,” really need a reality check. That playbook is outdated and, frankly, useless.
Look around — the women who’ve lived life on their own terms, dressed how they liked, dated whom they wanted, travelled solo… and never asked for permission — are the ones winning. And how!
Take Jeff Bezos’s new wife, for example. She didn’t play by the rules — and now she’s married to the richest man on the planet. That’s not luck; that’s smart, fearless living.
Even in our city, there are enough women who were once whispered about by the so-called sanskaari brigade. They were judged for being “too fast,” “too modern,” “too much.” Well, guess what? Many of them have had the last laugh — marrying well, building empires, and living unapologetically fabulous lives.
New CID chief, tough questions Tolly guys
With senior IPS officer Charu Sinha taking charge as Telangana’s CID chief, Tollywood celebrities who endorsed online betting apps may finally face the heat.
Sinha, known for her no-nonsense approach and a trailblazing stint as the first woman to head CRPF in Kashmir, has already reviewed key pending cases-this one included.
Though currently neck-deep in the HCA funds misappropriation probe, sources say she’ll soon turn her attention to the online betting scandal involving film stars.
With CM Revanth Reddy making it clear that no one will be spared, Tollywood biggies may soon have to explain why they promoted the apps.
Suresh Babu is godfather!
When producer Suresh Babu — one of Tollywood’s wealthiest and most powerful men — sweetly said there’s “room for many more studios in Hyderabad” and welcomed Bollywood biggies like Ajay Devgn with open arms, industry insiders nearly choked. Because behind that generous smile, his Tollywood colleagues say, is a razor-sharp businessman who controls a large chunk of theatre chains in small towns — and has a firm grip on who gets screens and who doesn’t. Smaller filmmakers often find themselves edged out, unable to match the muscle.
While Suresh Babu’s words to Ajay Devgn may sound welcoming, industry voices warn: He’s the don!
Also, the Andhra Pradesh government isn’t thrilled either. While they’re trying hard to woo major film investments into their state, Suresh Babu’s glowing endorsement of Hyderabad as the place for cinema has rubbed the AP mantris the wrong way.
Wary of Shandilya
The drug menace isn’t sparing anyone — even sons of top guns. The city’s gossip circuit is abuzz after P. Mohan, son of a senior DCP-rank officer, was picked up by the EAGLE team. If that wasn’t enough, the name Rahul Teja — linked to a top intelligence officer — was already making rounds for his alleged role as both user and dealer.
Insiders murmur that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Whispers suggest that a few babus’ kids have long danced dangerously close to the line — but conveniently flew under the radar. Now, with back-to-back busts involving the offspring of two top cops, there’s a noticeable wave of panic in bureaucratic circles.
And guess who is spearheading the war on drugs, IPS officer Sandeep Shandilya. Now suddenly everyone is wary of him as he’s on the mission to not spare anyone, including his own fraternity. One businessman who asked him for help says, he was instead booked.
The gentle judge of Kundanbagh
While most VVIPs strut around with Z+ security, one man quietly charmed the neighbourhood with his low-key style. Justice Sujoy Paul, the acting Chief Justice of Telangana High Court (now transferred to Calcutta), was often spotted ambling through the leafy lanes of Kundanbagh, sans any fanfare — or security detail!
Carrying just a modest cane and his thoughts, the judge would stroll past high-walled bungalows with ease. Not many realised that the quiet man in evening walks was the same legal luminary who’d delivered landmark rulings. In a colony buzzing with high-ranking officials and power-packed bureaucrats, Justice Paul’s simplicity left a lasting impression. No entourage. No flash. Wish all VVIPs were like this.
Samantha’s next move
South cinema’s golden girl Samantha has been missing from the spotlight, her glam gang is urging her to spill the tea before the buzz fizzles out. So, what’s she up to?
Well, she’s currently pouring her energy into her much-hyped perfume line. Until she gets good scripts, the fragrance biz may become her new starring role.
New role
After an incredible journey of over 30 years with the Fernandez Foundation, Gaddam Pramod is now making a bold and exciting transition into his new role as president of the Divis Foundation.
