Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scripted history in men’s T20 cricket by becoming the fastest and youngest player to reach 100 sixes, achieving the milestone in just 29 innings. He also became the fastest player to the mark in terms of balls faced, getting there in only 514 deliveries.

The Rajasthan Royals youngster achieved the feat during RR’s Indian Premier League clash against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur on Saturday night.

Facing Mohammed Siraj, Sooryavanshi started aggressively, smashing the very first ball he faced for a huge six over long-on. He continued his attacking display throughout the powerplay, scoring 36 off just 16 balls with three fours and three sixes. Siraj eventually dismissed him after an entertaining battle.

Sooryavanshi has been Rajasthan Royals’ leading run-scorer in the 2026 IPL season, scoring 440 runs in 11 innings at an average of 40.00 and a strike rate of 236.55. His tally includes one century and two half-centuries.

In the match, half-centuries from Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, along with a late flourish from Washington Sundar, powered Gujarat Titans to 229/4 in 20 overs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

After being put in to bat by RR stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal, who replaced the injured Riyan Parag, GT crossed the 200-run mark thanks to Gill’s 84 off 44 balls, Sudharsan’s 55 off 36, and Sundar’s unbeaten 37 off 20 balls.
