أعلنت رئاسة الأركان العامة للجيش الكويتي، فجر الأربعاء، أن منظومات الدفاع الجوي تتصدى لهجمات بطائرات مسيّرة إيرانية معادية استهدفت الأجواء الكويتية.
وأوضحت رئاسة الأركان أن أي أصوات انفجارات قد تُسمع في بعض المناطق تعود إلى عمليات اعتراض تنفذها منظومات الدفاع الجوي للتعامل مع التهديدات الجوية.
وكانت وزارة الدفاع الكويتية قد أعلنت، مساء الثلاثاء، رصد صاروخ باليستي وخمسة صواريخ جوالة، إلى جانب 33 طائرة مسيّرة معادية، مؤكدة أن القوات المسلحة اعترضتها وتعاملت معها بنجاح.
The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army announced early Wednesday that the air defense systems are responding to attacks by hostile Iranian drones targeting Kuwaiti airspace.
The General Staff clarified that any explosion sounds that may be heard in some areas are due to interception operations carried out by the air defense systems to deal with aerial threats.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense had announced on Tuesday evening the detection of a ballistic missile and five cruise missiles, along with 33 hostile drones, confirming that the armed forces intercepted and successfully dealt with them.
