في تطور قضائي يسلط الضوء على واحدة من أكثر القضايا الأمنية حساسية في المنطقة، ألغت محكمة استئناف أمن الدولة في الكويت حكماً سابقاً بحبس مواطن كويتي لمدة 10 سنوات، وقضت مجدداً بالسجن المؤبد إثر إدانته بالسعي والتخابر لصالح إيران وحزب الله.
التحقيقات كشفت كواليس خطيرة حول مخطط المتهم، إذ ثبت اجتماعه بقيادات أمنية بارزة وتلقيه تدريبات عسكرية مكثفة داخل الأراضي الإيرانية، بهدف الإضرار بالمصالح القومية العليا للكويت.
وأفادت أوراق القضية أن المتهم تردد على مدينة «قم» الإيرانية، وخضع لبرامج تدريبية ميدانية عالية الخطورة تحت إشراف عناصر ينتمون للحرس الثوري الإيراني وحزب الله اللبناني.
وتضمنت هذه التدريبات كيفية التعامل مع الأسلحة النارية، إلى جانب احتراف استخدام وتقنيات تسيير الطائرات دون طيار (الدرون)، لتنفيذ مخططات تمس الأمن الداخلي للكويت وتضر بسيادتها.
ولم تتوقف قرارات الجلسة عند ملف التخابر، بل شملت أحكاماً في قضايا تمس السلم المجتمعي الكويتي، إذ ألغت المحكمة حكم الحبس لمدة 3 سنوات بحق مواطنة كويتية كانت متهمة بإثارة الفتنة الطائفية والترويج لأفكار حزب الله عبر تطبيقي «واتساب» و«سناب شات»، وقررت تبرئتها من تهمة الترويج للحزب والامتناع عن عقابها.
وفي قضية أخرى، أيدت المحكمة حبس مواطن كويتي لمدة 3 سنوات بعد ثبوت إدانته بالإساءة إلى الصحابة وازدراء المواطنين وإثارة الفتنة، فضلاً عن بث الفزع بين الناس عبر الإدلاء بمعلومات كاذبة لأحد البنوك خلال فترة اعتداءات، في حزمة أحكام تؤكد التعامل الصارم مع كل ما يهدد الاستقرار الأمني والمجتمعي في الكويت.
In a judicial development that highlights one of the most sensitive security issues in the region, the State Security Appeals Court in Kuwait overturned a previous ruling that sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to 10 years in prison, and ruled instead for life imprisonment after convicting him of seeking and spying for Iran and Hezbollah.
The investigations revealed serious behind-the-scenes details about the defendant’s scheme, as it was established that he met with prominent security leaders and received intensive military training within Iranian territory, with the aim of harming Kuwait’s supreme national interests.
The case documents indicated that the defendant frequented the Iranian city of “Qom” and underwent high-risk field training programs under the supervision of elements belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the Lebanese Hezbollah.
These trainings included how to handle firearms, as well as mastering the use and techniques of operating unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to execute plans that threaten Kuwait’s internal security and harm its sovereignty.
The session’s decisions did not stop at the espionage file, but also included rulings in cases that affect Kuwaiti societal peace, as the court overturned a 3-year prison sentence against a Kuwaiti woman who was accused of inciting sectarian strife and promoting Hezbollah’s ideas through the “WhatsApp” and “Snapchat” applications, and decided to acquit her of the charge of promoting the party and refrained from punishing her.
In another case, the court upheld the imprisonment of a Kuwaiti citizen for 3 years after confirming his conviction for insulting the companions of the Prophet, contempt of citizens, and inciting strife, in addition to spreading panic among people by providing false information to a bank during a period of assaults, in a series of rulings that affirm the strict handling of anything that threatens security and societal stability in Kuwait.
