أعلن المتحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع الكويتية العقيد الركن سعود العطوان أن القوات المسلحة رصدت وتعاملت اليوم (السبت) مع 7 صواريخ باليستية معادية داخل المجال الجوي الكويتي، مؤكداً اعتراضها فوق عدد من المناطق السكنية، ما أسفر عن سقوط بعض الشظايا.
وأفاد بأن العدوان الإيراني الآثم تسبب في أضرار مادية دون إصابات بشرية.
وأكدت القوات المسلحة استمرارها في أداء مهامها وواجباتها بكفاءة واقتدار، في إطار من الجاهزية المستمرة والاستعداد الدائم، بما يعزز أمن الوطن ويحفظ سلامة المواطنين والمقيمين.
من جانبها، أعربت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية عن إدانة الكويت واستنكارها، بأشد العبارات، لـ«الاعتداءات الإيرانية الآثمة والمتكررة، والتي كان آخرها فجر السبت، متمثلاً في عدوانٍ سافرٍ يتجاهل المطالبات الدولية الداعية إلى وقف هذه الممارسات، وغير مكترثٍ بما تشكله من تهديدٍ مباشرٍ لحياة المواطنين والمقيمين، ولأمن المنطقة واستقرارها».
وأكدت الوزارة في بيان أن هذه الاعتداءات تمثل انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة الكويت وأمنها وسلامة أراضيها، وخرقاً فاضحاً لقواعد القانون الدولي، وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2817 لعام 2026، كما تشكل تصعيداً خطيراً يدفع المنطقة نحو مزيد من التوتر والاضطراب، في وقت يبذل فيه المجتمع الدولي جهوداً حثيثة لوقف العمليات القتالية وتجنيب المنطقة مزيداً من التصعيد. وشددت على أن هذه الاعتداءات لا يمكن تبريرها أو القبول بها تحت أي ذريعة.
وجددت التأكيد على احتفاظ الكويت بحقها الكامل في اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات اللازمة لحفظ أمنها والدفاع عن أراضيها ومنشآتها الحيوية ضد أي عدوان أو تهديد.
The spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Otaween, announced that the armed forces detected and dealt with 7 hostile ballistic missiles today (Saturday) within Kuwaiti airspace, confirming their interception over several residential areas, which resulted in some debris falling.
He reported that the malicious Iranian aggression caused material damage without any human casualties.
The armed forces affirmed their continued performance of their duties and responsibilities with efficiency and capability, within a framework of ongoing readiness and constant preparedness, to enhance the security of the homeland and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
For its part, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms, of the “malicious and repeated Iranian attacks, the latest of which occurred early Saturday, represented by blatant aggression that disregards international calls to stop these practices, and shows no concern for the direct threat it poses to the lives of citizens and residents, as well as to the security and stability of the region.”
The ministry emphasized in a statement that these attacks represent a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, a blatant breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution No. 2817 of 2026, and constitute a serious escalation that pushes the region towards further tension and unrest, at a time when the international community is making strenuous efforts to halt hostilities and spare the region from further escalation. It stressed that these attacks cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext.
It reiterated Kuwait’s full right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its territory and vital installations against any aggression or threat.
