قضت محكمة بريطانية بالسجن لمدة تفوق الأربع سنوات بحق المدعو سلمان يوسف، إثر إدانته بارتكاب سلسلة من الاعتداءات الجنسية التي استهدفت عدة نساء في العاصمة لندن.
ووفقاً لما أوردته منصة «العرب في بريطانيا» عبر حسابها الرسمي، فإن الشرطة البريطانية تمكنت من توقيف المتهم بعد رصد نمط جرائمه التي تركزت داخل شبكة قطارات الأنفاق (المترو) خلال ساعات الليل، حيث كان يتعمد استهداف النساء اللواتي يسافرن بمفردهن. وبحسب تفاصيل القضية، فقد أثبتت التحقيقات تورطه في إخضاع ثماني نساء لاعتداءات جنسية، بالإضافة إلى ارتكابه فعلاً فاضحاً أمام امرأة تاسعة.
وفي تعليقها على الحكم، نقلت صحيفة «الإندبندنت» عن المحققة في شرطة النقل البريطانية، إيرينا كوثبرت، وصفها للمدان بأنه «مفترس ارتكب أفعاله بدوافع مدروسة، واستغل شبكة السكك الحديدية الليلية عمداً لاستهداف النساء الوحيدات»، مؤكدة أنه لم يُظهر أي ندم على ما اقترفه.
من جانبها، شددت منصة «العرب في بريطانيا» على الموقف الحازم للجالية والمجتمع في ملاحقة وتعرية مرتكبي مثل هذه الجرائم، مؤكدة استمرار الجهود لدعم العدالة وضمان محاسبة أي متورط في الاعتداءات الجنسية لينال جزاءه القانوني خلف القضبان.

According to what was reported by the platform “Arabs in Britain” through its official account, the British police managed to apprehend the accused after identifying a pattern in his crimes, which were concentrated within the subway network during nighttime hours, where he deliberately targeted women traveling alone. According to the details of the case, investigations proved his involvement in subjecting eight women to sexual assaults, in addition to committing an indecent act in front of a ninth woman.
In her comments on the verdict, the newspaper “The Independent” quoted Irina Cuthbert, an investigator with the British Transport Police, describing the convicted man as a “predator who committed his acts with calculated motives, deliberately exploiting the nighttime railway network to target solitary women,” emphasizing that he showed no remorse for his actions.
For its part, the platform “Arabs in Britain” stressed the community’s and society’s firm stance in pursuing and exposing perpetrators of such crimes, affirming the continuation of efforts to support justice and ensure that anyone involved in sexual assaults is held accountable and receives their legal punishment behind bars.
