أدرجت الولايات المتحدة، مساء أمس (الثلاثاء)، أربعة كيانات مرتبطة بإيران على قائمة العقوبات، وفي مقدمتها منصة «نوبيتكس»، أكبر منصة تداول عملات مشفرة في إيران.
وقال وزير الخزانة الأمريكي إن النظام الإيراني يستغل تقنيات الأصول الرقمية للتحايل على العقوبات الدولية وتمويل أنشطته المحظورة.
وتُعد «نوبيتكس» أكبر منصة إيرانية لتداول العملات المشفرة، وكانت تلعب دوراً مهماً في الاقتصاد الإيراني لتجاوز العقوبات المصرفية الدولية، خصوصاً بعد انسحاب الولايات المتحدة من الاتفاق النووي في 2018.
ويأتي هذا التصعيد الأمريكي في سياق التوتر الإقليمي المتصاعد بين واشنطن وطهران، خصوصاً بعد اندلاع مواجهات عسكرية مباشرة بين الجانبين، واستمرار الدعم الإيراني للجماعات المسلحة في المنطقة (حزب الله، الحوثيين، والحشد الشعبي).
وتُشكل العقوبات على منصات العملات المشفرة ضربة نوعية جديدة، حيث أصبحت هذه المنصات أحد أبرز وسائل الالتفاف على النظام المصرفي التقليدي الخاضع للرقابة الدولية.
ويأتي القرار ضمن سياسة «الضغط الأقصى» التي تتبعها إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي الحالية تجاه النظام الإيراني، بهدف تقييد مصادر تمويله ودعمه للوكلاء الإقليميين.
من جانبه، أكد وزير الخارجية الأمريكي ماركو روبيو أن «نظام إيران لم يتوقف عن دعم المليشيات رغم العقوبات الشديدة والمتاعب الاقتصادية التي يعاني منها».
وأضاف روبيو أن «إيران تريد منا رفع الحصار فوراً، ولن نفعل ذلك إلا بعد فتح مضيق هرمز بشكل كامل وآمن»، مشيراً إلى أن طهران تحاول عرقلة المسار الدبلوماسي بين لبنان وإسرائيل.
The United States added four entities linked to Iran to its sanctions list last night (Tuesday), including the “Nobitex” platform, the largest cryptocurrency trading platform in Iran.
The U.S. Treasury Secretary stated that the Iranian regime is exploiting digital asset technologies to circumvent international sanctions and fund its prohibited activities.
“Nobitex” is the largest Iranian platform for cryptocurrency trading and has played an important role in the Iranian economy to bypass international banking sanctions, especially after the U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear agreement in 2018.
This U.S. escalation comes amid rising regional tensions between Washington and Tehran, particularly after direct military confrontations between the two sides and the continued Iranian support for armed groups in the region (Hezbollah, the Houthis, and the Popular Mobilization Forces).
Sanctions on cryptocurrency platforms represent a new qualitative blow, as these platforms have become one of the most prominent means of circumventing the traditional banking system subject to international oversight.
The decision is part of the “maximum pressure” policy pursued by the current U.S. administration towards the Iranian regime, aimed at constraining its funding sources and support for regional proxies.
For his part, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that “the Iranian regime has not stopped supporting militias despite the severe sanctions and the economic troubles it is facing.”
Rubio added that “Iran wants us to lift the blockade immediately, and we will not do that until the Strait of Hormuz is fully and safely opened,” noting that Tehran is trying to obstruct the diplomatic path between Lebanon and Israel.
