بدأت جامعات سعودية النظر في طلبات القبول الاستثنائي للعام الجامعي الجديد، في خطوة أتاحت معالجة حالات تعثر أصحابها في إجراءات القبول عبر المنصة الوطنية للقبول الموحد «قبول».
وعلمت «عكاظ» أن أولياء أمور تقدموا بالتماسات إلى رؤساء الجامعات، طلبوا فيها النظر في قبول أبنائهم وبناتهم استثنائياً، مستندين إلى مبررات عدة، بينها صعوبة التعامل مع منصة «قبول»، وضعف الاتصال بالإنترنت، إلى جانب «ظروف صحية» وإضافة إلى أخطاء حدثت أثناء تقديم الطلبات أو استكمال إجراءات القبول.
وأكدت مصادر مطلعة لـ«عكاظ» أن الجامعات تحيل طلبات الاستثناء إلى لجان مختصة تتولى دراستها وفرزها والتحقق من المبررات، مع مطابقة بيانات المتقدمين مع معايير القبول، وفي مقدمتها النسبة الموزونة ودرجات القدرات والتحصيلي ومعدل الثانوية العامة، وتوافر المقاعد في التخصصات.
وكشف أولياء أمور لـ«عكاظ» أن بعض المتقدمين تلقوا إشعارات بقبول طلباتهم، وانخرط أبناؤهم وبناتهم بالفعل في الدراسة بعد استكمال الإجراءات المطلوبة.
وكانت منصة «قبول» قد فتحت التقديم في مرحلتها الأولى لمدة شهر، قبل إتاحة مرحلة أخرى للقبول، إلا أن الخيارات خلالها اقتصرت على عدد محدود من الجامعات والكليات التقنية.
وفي مسار آخر، أتاحت جامعات لغير المقبولين فرصة الالتحاق ببرامج تأهيلية مدفوعة، لمدة عام، على أن ينتقل الطالب بعد تحقيق المعدل والشروط المحددة إلى الدراسة بالانتظام دون رسوم.
Saudi universities have begun considering exceptional admission requests for the new academic year, in a move that allows for addressing the cases of those who faced difficulties in the admission procedures through the national unified admission platform “Qabul”.
Sources informed “Okaz” that parents have submitted petitions to university presidents, requesting that their sons and daughters be considered for exceptional admission, citing several justifications, including difficulties in dealing with the “Qabul” platform, weak internet connectivity, as well as “health conditions” and errors that occurred during the application submission or completion of the admission procedures.
Informed sources confirmed to “Okaz” that universities refer the exceptional requests to specialized committees that study, sort, and verify the justifications, while matching the applicants’ data with the admission criteria, primarily the weighted percentage, aptitude and achievement test scores, high school GPA, and the availability of seats in the specializations.
Parents revealed to “Okaz” that some applicants received notifications of their acceptance, and their sons and daughters have indeed started studying after completing the required procedures.
The “Qabul” platform had opened applications in its first phase for a month, before allowing another phase for admission; however, the options during that time were limited to a small number of universities and technical colleges.
In another direction, universities have offered non-admitted students the opportunity to enroll in paid qualifying programs for a year, with the condition that the student transitions to regular study without fees after achieving the specified GPA and conditions.
