أكد المدير العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية رافائيل غروسي أن الوكالة رصدت أعمال بناء في موقع جبل الفأس (جبل بيكاكس) شديد التحصين في إيران، الذي يُشتبه في احتضانه أنشطة مرتبطة بالبرنامج النووي.
وقال غروسي في مقابلة مع «بلومبرغ» إن الوكالة لم تفتش بعد مجمع الأنفاق، لكن صوراً التُقطت عن بُعد تشير إلى تحركات جديدة في الموقع الواقع جنوب منشأة تخصيب اليورانيوم الرئيسية قرب طهران، مضيفاً: «هناك بعض المؤشرات على وجود تحركات حول موقع البناء»، لكنه شدد على أن الوكالة لا تملك معلومات مؤكدة بشأن طبيعة الأنشطة التي قد تجري هناك.
في غضون ذلك، أحال مجلس محافظي الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية الملف النووي الإيراني إلى مجلس الأمن الدولي للمرة الأولى منذ نحو 20 عاماً، وذلك على خلفية عدم تعاون طهران مع تحقيق مستمر بشأن آثار لليورانيوم عثر عليها مفتشو الوكالة في مواقع غير معلنة.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قال مساء أمس إن الولايات المتحدة ربما تقصف «جبل الفأس» في إيران، محذراً طهران من «التهور». وأوضح ترمب في كلمة ألقاها خلال مؤتمر الحزب الجمهوري في دالاس أمس: «نلاحظ وجود بعض النشاط في بيكاكس (جبل الفأس)، أنصح إيران بكل جدية لأننا سنضطر لضربها بقوة شديدة»، حسبما أوردت وكالة «رويترز».
ويقع «جبل الفأس» بالقرب من منشأة نطنز لتخصيب اليورانيوم التي تعرضت لأضرار جسيمة، وهو موقع محصن يضم مجمعين من الأنفاق المدفونة على عمق كبير.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, confirmed that the agency has detected construction activities at the heavily fortified site of Mount Parchin (Mount Bikaaks) in Iran, which is suspected of harboring activities related to the nuclear program.
Grossi stated in an interview with “Bloomberg” that the agency has not yet inspected the tunnel complex, but remote-sensing images indicate new movements at the site located south of the main uranium enrichment facility near Tehran. He added, “There are some indications of movements around the construction site,” but emphasized that the agency does not have confirmed information regarding the nature of the activities that may be taking place there.
Meanwhile, the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency referred the Iranian nuclear file to the United Nations Security Council for the first time in nearly 20 years, following Tehran’s lack of cooperation with an ongoing investigation into traces of uranium found by agency inspectors at undeclared sites.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated last night that the United States might bomb “Mount Parchin” in Iran, warning Tehran against “recklessness.” Trump clarified in a speech delivered during the Republican Party conference in Dallas yesterday: “We are noticing some activity at Bikaaks (Mount Parchin), I seriously advise Iran because we will have to hit them very hard,” according to the “Reuters” news agency.
“Mount Parchin” is located near the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, which has suffered significant damage, and it is a fortified site that includes two complexes of tunnels buried at a great depth.
