أعلنت الحكومة المصرية أن هجوم ميناء دمياط، الذي وقع مساء أمس (الأربعاء)، ناتج عن طائرة مسيرة.
ووفقاً لبيان رسمي صدر عن مجلس الوزراء المصري، اليوم (الخميس)، فإنه بعد السيطرة على الحريق الذي تعرضت له سفينتان في ميناء دمياط يوم 29 يوليو 2026، وبإجراء الجهات المعنية التحقيقات الأولية حول الحادث، تبين أنه ناتج عن طائرة مسيرة، ولم تعلن أي جهة مسؤوليتها عن الواقعة.
وأكدت الحكومة المصرية أن الجهات المعنية تواصل استكمال التحقيقات للوقوف على ملابسات الحادث، واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للحفاظ على مصالح مصر وأمنها القومي.
وأثارت الانفجارات التي شهدها ميناء دمياط في مصر، اليوم (الأربعاء)، تساؤلات واسعة حول أسبابها، بعد تقارير تحدثت عن احتمال تعرض منشأة عائمة لتخزين الغاز الطبيعي لهجوم بطائرة مسيرة، في حين أعلنت وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية المصرية السيطرة على حريق اندلع داخل الميناء، مؤكدة عدم تسجيل أي إصابات أو خسائر بشرية، مع استمرار التحقيقات لكشف ملابسات الحادث.
وكانت وكالة «رويترز» قد نقلت عن شركة «أمبري» البريطانية المتخصصة في الأمن البحري أن منشأة عائمة لتخزين الغاز الطبيعي المسال مملوكة لشركة أمريكية وتدار بمعرفتها، وترفع علم جزر مارشال، تعرضت لإصابة بطائرة مسيرة أثناء وجودها في ميناء دمياط.
كما أفادت شركة «إنشكيب» لخدمات الموانئ باندلاع حريق في ناقلتي غاز داخل الميناء خلال عمليات تفريغ الشحنة، مشيرة إلى أنه تم سحب السفينتين خارج الميناء، مع توقع استئناف العمل في الأرصفة والمحطات الأخرى.
بيان وزارة البترول
وأكدت وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية في بيان رسمي أنه «في إطار المتابعة الفورية لأي أحداث طارئة، وقع حريق على سفينة التغويز وسفينة التخزين المتواجدتين بميناء دمياط، وقد تم التعامل مع الموقف على الفور وفقاً لخطط الطوارئ والاستجابة السريعة المعتمدة، من خلال الجهات المختصة وفرق الإطفاء والتأمين بالموقع».
وأضافت الوزارة أن وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية المهندس كريم بدوي انتقل فور تلقي البلاغ إلى موقع الحادث لمتابعة الموقف ميدانياً، والاطمئنان على سير أعمال السيطرة والتأمين، والتأكد من تنفيذ جميع إجراءات السلامة والتنسيق الكامل بين مختلف الجهات المعنية حتى انتهاء التعامل مع الموقف بصورة آمنة.
وشددت الوزارة على أن الحادث لم يسفر عن أي إصابات أو خسائر بشرية، مؤكدة أن فرق الطوارئ تواصل، بالتنسيق مع الجهات الفنية المختصة، استكمال الأعمال واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة وفقاً للمعايير المعتمدة، فيما جارٍ اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للوقوف على تداعيات الموقف.
كما دعت الوزارة وسائل الإعلام ورواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي إلى استقاء المعلومات من البيانات الرسمية الصادرة عنها، مؤكدة استمرار المتابعة اللحظية للموقف والإعلان عن أي مستجدات.

According to an official statement issued by the Egyptian Cabinet today (Thursday), after controlling the fire that affected two ships at Damietta Port on July 29, 2026, and conducting initial investigations by the relevant authorities regarding the incident, it was found that it was caused by a drone, and no party has claimed responsibility for the incident.
The Egyptian government confirmed that the relevant authorities continue to complete the investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and take necessary measures to protect Egypt’s interests and national security.
The explosions that occurred at Damietta Port in Egypt today (Wednesday) raised widespread questions about their causes, following reports that suggested a floating facility for storing natural gas may have been attacked by a drone, while the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the control of a fire that broke out inside the port, confirming that no injuries or human losses were recorded, with investigations ongoing to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
Reuters reported that the British company “Ambrey,” specialized in maritime security, stated that a floating facility for storing liquefied natural gas owned by an American company and operated by it, flying the Marshall Islands flag, was struck by a drone while at Damietta Port.
The company “Inchcape” for port services also reported a fire breaking out in two gas carriers inside the port during cargo unloading operations, noting that the two ships were pulled out of the port, with expectations to resume work at the docks and other terminals.
Statement from the Ministry of Petroleum
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources confirmed in an official statement that “in the context of the immediate follow-up to any emergency events, a fire occurred on the gasification ship and the storage ship present at Damietta Port, and the situation was dealt with immediately according to the approved emergency and rapid response plans, by the relevant authorities and firefighting and security teams on site.”
The ministry added that the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Engineer Karim Badawy, went to the incident site immediately upon receiving the report to monitor the situation on the ground, ensure the control and security operations were proceeding smoothly, and confirm that all safety procedures were implemented and full coordination among the various relevant authorities until the situation was safely resolved.
The ministry emphasized that the incident did not result in any injuries or human losses, confirming that emergency teams continue, in coordination with the relevant technical authorities, to complete the operations and take necessary measures according to the approved standards, while necessary actions are being taken to assess the implications of the situation.
The ministry also urged the media and social media users to obtain information from the official statements issued by it, confirming the ongoing real-time monitoring of the situation and announcing any updates.
