حذّرت هيئة بحرية بريطانية من أن مستوى التهديد الأمني البحري في مضيق هرمز لا يزال عند درجة «شديد»، داعية السفن إلى توخي الحذر أثناء العبور والالتزام بإجراءات السلامة المعتمدة.
وأشارت في منشور على أكس، اليوم (الأحد)، إلى استمرار إتاحة المسار الجنوبي لعبور السفن في مضيق هرمز، رغم إعلان إيران في 12 يوليو إغلاق المضيق، وأفادت بأن المسار جرى توسيعه لاستيعاب حركة الملاحة في الاتجاهين.
وذكرت الهيئة أن السفن قد تتلقى نداءات عبر أجهزة الاتصال اللاسلكي من القوات البحرية، كما حثت البحارة على الانتباه إلى منطقة خطر الألغام الواقعة ضمن نظام فصل حركة الملاحة التقليدي.
فيما أكدت الهيئة البريطانية أن التنسيق مع مجموعة الإرشاد والتنسيق البحري التابعة للقيادة المركزية للقوات البحرية الأمريكية يُوصى به بشدة، لكنه ليس إلزامياً، موضحةً أن السفن يمكنها استخدام المسار الجنوبي دون الحاجة إلى تنسيق مسبق. وشددت على أنه لا توجد أي جهة تفرض رسوماً أو تمتلك سلطة تنظيمية للتحكم في المرور عبر أي من مسارات العبور في مضيق هرمز.
من جانبها، نددت الخارجية الهندية بالهجوم على السفينة التجارية جالاكسي قبالة سواحل سلطنة عمان، وقالت إنه من بين 11 هندياً كانوا على متن السفينة تم إنقاذ 10 ولا يزال واحد في عداد المفقودين. وكررت الدعوة إلى خفض تصعيد التوتر فوراً، مشيرة إلى أن سفارتها في سلطنة عمان تراقب الوضع عن كثب.
في غضون ذلك، أصدرت وزارة المواصلات في قطر إشعاراً لملاك ومستخدمي الوسائط البحرية بما في ذلك قوارب النزهة وقوارب الصيد والدراجات المائية وسائر الوسائط البحرية المماثلة للتوقف مؤقتاً عن الإبحار.
وقالت في بيان: «حرصاً على السلامة العامة، تهيب وزارة المواصلات بجميع ملاك ومستخدمي الوسائط البحرية، بما في ذلك قوارب النزهة، وقوارب الصيد، والدراجات المائية، وسائر الوسائط البحرية المماثلة، التوقف مؤقتاً عن الإبحار وممارسة الأنشطة البحرية، اعتباراً من تاريخ صدور هذا التعميم وحتى إشعار آخر».
A British maritime authority has warned that the level of maritime security threat in the Strait of Hormuz remains at “severe,” urging vessels to exercise caution while transiting and to adhere to established safety procedures.
It noted in a post on X today (Sunday) that the southern route for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz remains open, despite Iran’s announcement on July 12 to close the strait, and stated that the route has been widened to accommodate traffic in both directions.
The authority mentioned that vessels may receive calls via radio communication from naval forces, and urged sailors to pay attention to the mine danger area located within the traditional navigation separation system.
The British authority confirmed that coordination with the U.S. Navy’s Central Command’s maritime guidance and coordination group is highly recommended, but not mandatory, clarifying that vessels can use the southern route without prior coordination. It emphasized that no entity imposes fees or has regulatory authority to control passage through any of the transit routes in the Strait of Hormuz.
For its part, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs condemned the attack on the commercial vessel Galaxy off the coast of Oman, stating that of the 11 Indians on board, 10 were rescued and one is still missing. It reiterated the call for an immediate de-escalation of tensions, noting that its embassy in Oman is closely monitoring the situation.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport in Qatar issued a notice to owners and users of marine vessels, including pleasure boats, fishing boats, jet skis, and other similar marine craft, to temporarily cease sailing.
It stated in a statement: “In the interest of public safety, the Ministry of Transport urges all owners and users of marine vessels, including pleasure boats, fishing boats, jet skis, and other similar marine craft, to temporarily cease sailing and engaging in marine activities, effective from the date of this notice until further notice.”
