The BJP’s national leadership held a review meeting with senior Telangana leaders at the party’s central office in New Delhi on Friday to discuss strengthening the organisation and preparing a political roadmap to bring the party to power in the State.

The meeting was chaired by BJP president Nitin Nabin. Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao, Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, BJP OBC Morcha national president and Parliamentary Board member K. Laxman, State in‑charge Abhay Patil, State organisational general secretary Chandrasekhar Tiwari, party MPs and other senior leaders attended.

The leadership reviewed the party’s organisational position in Telangana, with emphasis on strengthening the party at the grassroots and expanding its presence across the state. Directions were given on the political and organisational action plan ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Discussions also focused on improving coordination among the State leadership, elected representatives and party workers, besides intensifying field‑level activities and public outreach.

BJP leaders maintained that the party’s organisational structure in Telangana was strong and expressed confidence that sustained grassroots efforts would help it emerge as a major force.

Talking to newsmen, Ramchander Rao ruled out alliances with Janasena or any other party, stating that decisions on NDA partners would be taken at the national level. He claimed leaders from other parties were showing interest in joining BJP but declined to disclose names, saying there was still time before polls.

He asserted that BJP’s organisational strength in Telangana was greater than in Bengal and Odisha, where the party has come to power, and hence prospects were stronger. Rao added that many Congress leaders were likely to support the delimitation and women’s bill in Parliament.
