HYDERABAD: Residents of Vasavibagar Colony in Kushaiguda raised concerns over the poor maintenance of a municipal park, alleging that the exercise equipment installed for public use is not being properly maintained.
Colony president Narasimha Reddy said the gym equipment lacked quality and had not been installed properly, affecting its usability. He said the equipment, intended to encourage residents to exercise and maintain their health and was not serving its purpose due to poor upkeep.
Residents have also sought better maintenance of the park and regular cleaning of its premises and washrooms to ensure a hygienic environment for visitors. They said public facilities developed for residents should be maintained regularly so that people can use them safely and effectively.
They urged the Kapra Circle authorities to inspect the park, rectify the problems with the gym equipment and ensure proper upkeep of the facilities. Repeated attempts to contact UBD officials who focus on environmental protection, urban greenery, parks maintenance, and community development activities within the ward for a response yielded no results.
