Hyderabad: As part of the Praja Baata Programme, TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil inspected power line maintenance works in Kavadiguda Section of Saifabad Division, under Hyderabad Central Circle, on Tuesday.
During the programme, tree pruning works were undertaken to remove branches obstructing electrical lines. LT spacers were also being provided to regulate loose Low Tension (LT) lines with the assistance of a bucket ladder vehicle.
These measures help prevent phase-to-phase short circuits caused by contact between electrical wires and reduce interruptions to power supply.
On the occasion, the CMD issued several instructions to the officials, asking them to regularly remove tree branches obstructing electrical lines and immediately rectify loose and sagging wires.
He emphasized the need to take preventive measures to avert electrical accidents and ensure continuous field-level monitoring to provide safe and quality power supply to consumers.
The CMD further instructed officials to identify consumer complaints related to electricity supply and resolve them promptly. He stressed that there should be no negligence in maintenance activities and called upon officials and field staff to work in coordination to improve service delivery.
Through the Praja Baata Programme, TGSPDCL aims to identify electricity-related issues at the field level, undertake preventive maintenance, enhance electrical safety and provide better services to consumers.
