وجّه رئيس الشؤون الدينية بالمسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوي الدكتور عبدالرحمن بن عبدالعزيز السديس، كلمةً للطلاب والطالبات بمناسبة بدء العام الدراسي الجديد، حثّهم فيها على الجد والاجتهاد، واستثمار سنوات الدراسة في التحصيل العلمي والمعرفي، والتحلي بآداب العلم وقيمه، وإخلاص النية لله تعالى، واحترام المعلمين والمعلمات، والمثابرة والصبر؛ مؤكداً أن العلم أساس بناء الإنسان، وسبيل نهضة المجتمعات وتنمية الأوطان.
اعتزاز بالعقيدة والهوية
وقال السديس: «إن ديننا الحنيف رفع منزلة العلم وأهله، وجعل طلب العلم من أجلّ القربات، قال تعالى: ﴿يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍ﴾، وإن العلم النافع حين يقترن بالقيم والأخلاق وحسن العمل يصنع الإنسان الواعي، القادر على الإسهام في خدمة دينه وقيادته ووطنه ومجتمعه».
وأشاد بما يحظى به التعليم في السعودية من عناية كريمة ودعم متواصل من القيادة الرشيدة، وما تقوم عليه المنظومة التعليمية من الجمع بين التأصيل الديني والانتماء الوطني، والأصالة والمعاصرة، وبناء أجيال معتزة بعقيدتها وهويتها وقيمها، متسلحة بالعلم والمعرفة، وقادرة على مواكبة تطورات العصر والإسهام في صناعة المستقبل.
الاستفادة من التقنية
ودعا الدكتور السديس الطلاب والطالبات إلى استشعار مسؤوليتهم في طلب العلم، والمحافظة على الوقت، وحسن الاستفادة من وسائل التقنية والمعرفة، والبعد عن كل ما يشتت الفكر أو يضعف الهمة، وأن يجعلوا من عامهم الدراسي ميداناً للتميز والإبداع والإنجاز، سائلاً المولى عز وجل أن يبارك في أبناء وبنات الوطن، وأن يوفقهم في عامهم الدراسي، وينفع بهم دينهم ووطنهم، وأن يجزي المعلمين والمعلمات وأعضاء الهيئات التعليمية خير الجزاء على ما يبذلونه في تعليم الأجيال وبناء الإنسان.
The Head of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, delivered a message to students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year, urging them to be diligent and hardworking, to invest their years of study in scientific and knowledge acquisition, to embody the ethics and values of knowledge, to sincerely intend for the sake of Allah Almighty, to respect their teachers, and to persevere and be patient; emphasizing that knowledge is the foundation of human development and the path to the revival of societies and the advancement of nations.
Pride in Faith and Identity
Al-Sudais stated: “Our noble religion has elevated the status of knowledge and its people, and made the pursuit of knowledge one of the greatest acts of devotion. Allah Almighty said: ﴿Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge by degrees﴾. Beneficial knowledge, when combined with values, ethics, and good deeds, creates a conscious individual capable of contributing to the service of his religion, leadership, homeland, and community.”
He praised the generous attention and continuous support that education receives in Saudi Arabia from the wise leadership, and the educational system’s foundation on the combination of religious roots and national belonging, authenticity and modernity, building generations proud of their faith, identity, and values, equipped with knowledge and understanding, and capable of keeping pace with the developments of the era and contributing to shaping the future.
Utilizing Technology
Dr. Al-Sudais called on students to feel their responsibility in seeking knowledge, to manage their time wisely, to make good use of technological and informational resources, and to avoid anything that distracts their thoughts or weakens their determination. He urged them to make their academic year a field for excellence, creativity, and achievement, asking Allah Almighty to bless the sons and daughters of the nation, to grant them success in their academic year, to benefit their religion and homeland through them, and to reward teachers and educational staff abundantly for their efforts in educating generations and building individuals.
