تجسيداً لدور السعودية الريادي في مد يد العون للسكان في اليمن، ودعماً للوضع الإنساني المعيشي؛ دشن مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، عمليات توزيع 7200 سلة غذائية في عدد من مديريات ساحل حضرموت، ضمن أعمال المرحلة الثانية من مشروع «الدعم الغذائي الطارئ».
ويأتي هذا المشروع في إطار حزمة من المبادرات الإغاثية والإنسانية المتكاملة التي تنفذها السعودية عبر ذراعها الإنسانية «مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية»، للحد من تداعيات الأزمة الاقتصادية وتخفيف وطأة المعاناة عن كاهل الأسر اليمنية المحتاجة.
ويستهدف المشروع، الذي يُنَفّذ بالتعاون مع «ائتلاف الخير للإغاثة الإنسانية»، الوصول إلى أكثر من 50 ألف مستفيد من الفئات الأكثر احتياجاً ورعاية، وفي مقدمتهم المصابون بالأمراض المزمنة (مرضى السرطان والقلب والفشل الكلوي)، إلى جانب ذوي الإعاقة والأسر الأشد فقراً.
وثمّن مدير عام مكتب وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل بساحل حضرموت سعيد العمودي، الدعم الأخوي المستمر والمواقف النبيلة من السعودية، مشيداً بالجهود الاستثنائية والدعم المتواصل الذي يقدمه «مركز الملك سلمان للإغاثة والأعمال الإنسانية» لأبناء الشعب اليمني.
وأكد العمودي أن هذا الدعم سيسهم بشكل مباشر وملموس في سد الفجوة الغذائية وتحسين الظروف المعيشية اليومية لآلاف الأسر في حضرموت.
In embodiment of Saudi Arabia’s pioneering role in extending a helping hand to the people in Yemen, and in support of the humanitarian living conditions; the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched today (Tuesday) the distribution of 7,200 food baskets in several districts of the Hadhramaut coast, as part of the second phase of the “Emergency Food Support” project.
This project comes as part of a package of integrated relief and humanitarian initiatives implemented by Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to mitigate the repercussions of the economic crisis and alleviate the suffering of needy Yemeni families.
The project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the “Good Coalition for Humanitarian Relief,” aims to reach more than 50,000 beneficiaries from the most vulnerable and needy groups, including those suffering from chronic diseases (cancer, heart disease, and kidney failure), as well as people with disabilities and the poorest families.
The Director General of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Office in the Hadhramaut coast, Said Al-Amoudi, praised the ongoing brotherly support and noble stances from Saudi Arabia, commending the exceptional efforts and continuous support provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to the Yemeni people.
Al-Amoudi confirmed that this support will directly and tangibly contribute to bridging the food gap and improving the daily living conditions of thousands of families in Hadhramaut.
