أكد رئيس جمهورية كوريا لي جاي ميونغ أن سيئول ستضاعف إنفاقها على الذكاء الاصطناعي وأشباه الموصلات بحلول عام 2027، ليصل إلى مستوى قياسي يبلغ 16 مليار دولار.
وقال ميونغ في خطاب الميزانية السنوي أمام البرلمان اليوم: «سنخصص 21,3 تريليون وون (16 مليار دولار) لأشباه الموصلات والذكاء الاصطناعي المادي ومراكز بيانات الذكاء الاصطناعي، والمشاريع الكبرى الثلاثة، بالإضافة إلى الاستثمار في الذكاء الاصطناعي بمبلغ يقارب ضعف ما تم تخصيصه هذا العام».
وأضاف «سنقوم باستثمارات جريئة في الذكاء الاصطناعي ومحركات النمو المستقبلية، من أجل تعزيز إمكانات النمو في اقتصادنا، وهو ما يمثل ركيزة قوته الاقتصادية».
وأشار إلى أن الحكومة ستستثمر 4,7 تريليونات وون لدعم مشاريع تطوير الذكاء الاصطناعي الرائدة بهدف تحقيق أداء يتصدر المستويات العالمية لنموذج الذكاء الاصطناعي الخاص بنا، والذي يُعدّ أصلًا إستراتيجيًا وطنيًا.
وقدّم هذا المقترح في خطاب استعرض خطط إنفاق حكومته لعام 2027، وتبلغ الميزانية المقترحة 821 تريليون وون، بزيادة 12,8% عن العام الحالي، ما يجعلها أكبر مقترح ميزانية على الإطلاق.
ويحتاج لي الآن إلى أن يقر البرلمان مقترح الميزانية، وهو أمر مرجح بالنظر إلى الأغلبية التي يتمتع بها حزبه.
South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol confirmed that Seoul will double its spending on artificial intelligence and semiconductors by 2027, reaching a record level of $16 billion.
In his annual budget speech before parliament today, Yoon stated, “We will allocate 21.3 trillion won ($16 billion) for semiconductors, physical artificial intelligence, AI data centers, and the three major projects, in addition to investing in artificial intelligence at nearly double the amount allocated this year.”
He added, “We will make bold investments in artificial intelligence and future growth engines to enhance the growth potential of our economy, which represents the cornerstone of its economic strength.”
He noted that the government will invest 4.7 trillion won to support leading artificial intelligence development projects with the aim of achieving performance that ranks at the top of global levels for our artificial intelligence model, which is considered a national strategic asset.
This proposal was presented in a speech outlining his government’s spending plans for 2027, with the proposed budget amounting to 821 trillion won, an increase of 12.8% from the current year, making it the largest budget proposal ever.
Yoon now needs parliament to approve the budget proposal, which is likely given the majority his party holds.
