تُلاحق الشرطة التركية، مدعومة بالمروحيات وفرق الأمن المكثفة، مسلحاً شنّ هجوماً دموياً، الإثنين، أسفر عن مقتل 4 أشخاص وإصابة 8 آخرين بجروح متفاوتة، في محيط مدينة مرسين جنوبي البلاد.
وبدأت فصول الواقعة – التي صنفتها وسائل إعلام محلية بـ «جريمة جنائية» – داخل أحد المطاعم؛ حيث فتح المشتبه به النار بشكل عشوائي، مما أدى إلى مقتل مالك المطعم وأحد الموظفين فوراً، وإصابة عدد من الزبائن. وخلال محاولته الفرار من الموقع، واصل المسلح إطلاق رصاصه العشوائي ليردي رجلين آخرين قتيلين في الشارع.
وعلى الإثر، فرضت قوات الأمن طوقاً مشدداً في المنطقة، ونُقل المصابون الثمانية إلى المستشفيات القريبة لتلقي العلاج، بينما انطلقت عملية تمشيط واسعة النطاق تشترك فيها آليات برية وغطاء جوي لضبط الجاني الفار، بحسب ما أوردته وكالتا «دي اتش ايه» و«آي اتش ايه» الإخباريتان.
The Turkish police, supported by helicopters and intensive security teams, are pursuing an armed man who launched a bloody attack on Monday, resulting in the death of 4 people and injuries to 8 others of varying degrees, in the vicinity of the city of Mersin in the south of the country.
The incident – which local media classified as a “criminal act” – began inside a restaurant; where the suspect opened fire randomly, leading to the immediate death of the restaurant owner and one employee, and injuring several customers. During his attempt to flee the scene, the gunman continued to fire randomly, killing two more men in the street.
In response, security forces imposed a tight cordon around the area, and the eight injured were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment, while a large-scale search operation involving ground vehicles and air cover was launched to apprehend the fleeing perpetrator, according to news agencies “DHA” and “IHA”.
