VIJAYAWADA: Minister for education, IT and electronics N. Lokesh has said Andhra Pradesh’s approach to attracting investments is built around the ‘3S’ formula of speed, service and stability.

Addressing the Fortune India 40 Under 40 Awards gathering in Mumbai on Wednesday, Lokesh said two factors were helping attract investments to the state the 3S approach and the brand of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, backed by his track record in governance.

Explaining the approach, Lokesh said speed referred to faster clearances and ease of doing business, while service involved staying in touch with investors and sharing updates on their investments. He said he personally sent investors updates and sought their feedback almost every Saturday.

The third S, stability, referred to policy continuity, he said. Governments might change, but investors looked for a stable policy framework, he added.

“Our Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is our brand and he himself is a brand as he comes with an amazing track record in governance,” Lokesh said.

“Having a Chief Minister who can open doors makes my job half easy and the other half is for me to go into the meeting room and close the door, and close the deal. And this partnership has made Andhra Pradesh really stand out,” he said.
