أجلت السلطات الإسبانية أكثر من ألف شخص، فيما أُصيب 11 آخرون، جراء حرائق غابات وأمطار غزيرة أدت إلى فيضانات في عدد من المناطق شرقي وشمال شرقي البلاد.

وفي منطقة فالنسيا، أُجلي نحو ألف شخص من بلدة جاتوفا، بعد امتداد حريق غابات اندلع في بلدة سيجوربي المجاورة، وأتى حتى الآن على نحو 633 هكتارًا، فيما يواصل نحو 350 فردًا، بمساندة 25 طائرة، جهود السيطرة على الحريق وإخماده.

وفي كاتالونيا، أسفرت الأمطار الغزيرة والفيضانات عن إصابة 11 شخصًا، بينهم شخص في حالة حرجة. كما نفذت فرق الإنقاذ عشرات العمليات لإجلاء أشخاص حاصرتهم المياه داخل مركبات ومبانٍ، فيما أُجلي نحو 400 شخص من موقع للتخييم ومرفق ترفيهي في بلدة رودا دي بيرا.

وتسببت الأمطار الغزيرة في غمر عدد من الطرق والشوارع والمنازل، وتعطيل حركة القطارات في عدة مناطق، في حين أسهم ارتفاع درجات الحرارة والجفاف في زيادة مخاطر اندلاع حرائق الغابات.

The Spanish authorities have evacuated more than a thousand people, while 11 others were injured, due to wildfires and heavy rains that led to flooding in several areas in the eastern and northeastern parts of the country.

In the Valencia region, about a thousand people were evacuated from the town of Gatova, after a wildfire spread from the neighboring town of Segorbe, which has so far burned approximately 633 hectares. Around 350 individuals, supported by 25 aircraft, continue efforts to control and extinguish the fire.

In Catalonia, heavy rains and flooding resulted in 11 injuries, including one person in critical condition. Rescue teams carried out dozens of operations to evacuate people trapped by water inside vehicles and buildings, while about 400 people were evacuated from a camping site and recreational facility in the town of Roda de Berà.

The heavy rains have flooded several roads, streets, and homes, disrupting train services in various areas, while rising temperatures and drought have increased the risks of wildfires.
